PS...

Last night Emmett danced for the first time. I have gotten him to do it a few times today. He holds on to something and bounces up and down. Of course we think it is the most adorablet things ever!

This Week with E

A daily occurance...
Look at those fingers play!

The other day I looked over and E was trying to walk with his pants down around his ankles. I just started dressing him in 12 mo. clothes. I guess some of them are a little big.:)

He finally maneuvered his way out of the pants and it looked like he was walking around in tighty whiteys.

The End!

E update...

Emmett's new thing is carrying kitchen towels around the house. They are like a security blanket to him. He even did this when we were at the Ames'! This shirt is SO him right now!
I have been trying to get a good pic of his TEETH! You can barely see his two front teeth that are coming in.

I just got Emmett some new big boy pj's and I think he looks so cute in them!

Sunday evening with the A. family

Emmett and I had a great time with our friends after dropping Paul off at LAX for his business trip. We talked, BBQ'd, played with the babies, and ate homemade ice cream and girl scout cookies! What more could a girl ask for?!

Thanks for such a fun evening you guys!

Last Saturday at Dana Point Harbor

I got a new lense for my camera on Saturday. I had a great time experimenting with it at Dana Point Harbor. This post is backwards. Start at the bottom where Emmett wakes up from his nap and Paul gets him all ready to go out for the afternoon.

Last Week with Emmett

I had fun playing with this picture in photoshop.

Our little thug basketball player in training.

It's fun to see him carry his sippy cup with him all over the apartment.

I liked this one because he has his hand on my knee... he's already tanner than me!

Lately Emmett is always grabbing onto my legs or pants. Everytime he wants something I look down and see this cute face. The trick is trying to figure out what it is that he wants!

Bathtime! Emmett has 3 different rubber ducks and has to have them all in the tub with him. He loves bath time and splashes like crazy!
Remember when I told you about how Emmett loves to carry things from room to room. Here he is with his teddy bear that is bigger than he is. Scott gave this to him when he was still in utero. He LOVES his teddy! It's his best buddy. He has loved wrestling with him from the time he could sit up!

Time for an Emmett update

Emmett is ALL boy ALL the time, into everything and always on the go. He continues to be fascinated by buttons. He rotates between the TV, DVD player, Laptop, Remote, Desktop, Cell phones, calculator, Printer, Desktop and dishwasher. (he may pick up one of his own toys with buttons on a rare occasion.) He also loves walking into our bathroom and pushing everything lining the edge of the bathtub into the tub. Now that he is walking we find rubber duckies in the hallway, camera's in the bathroom, kitchen towels in the living room etc. He thinks he is pretty tough now and tries to pick up anything and everything and carry it, tonight he was attempting to pick up the bathroom scale.

Today at church he was Mr. Independent. He crawled straight up the stairs without any help. He walked all over, even into the church from the car. He visited the nurseries with me and got to play with the big kids. He loves the nursery! Hopefully he still loves it in 8 months.

he is eating "people food" now. He prefers to feed himself whenever possible. I love watching him eat his sandwich and take sips from his sippy cup in between bites.

He is still very sociable. His first official word is "Hi!" It is so adorable! He has also started saying "Hi Dad!" He doesn't know what it means, but it is fun to have him mi mick us. It sounds more like "Hi Da!"

His two top teeth are peeking through. I will have to try to get a pic of them this week. He has done pretty well with the teething. We have noticed that he is a little more needy, but that's totally understandable.

some pics from the past week for your enjoyment...
