California Strawberry Festival

It is my dream to do this someday!

Paul and I met up with some friends from Paul's work at the California Strawberry festival this weekend and had an absolute blast! We ate strawberry shortcake, strawberry smoothies AND chocolate covered strawberries!

Mother's Day Madness

This is our beautiful piano that we inherited from an older couple that moved out of our ward a couple of weeks ago. For mother's day Paul gave me the Wicked piano book. I hope our neighbors love it as much as we do.:) I also wanted to say thank you to everyone that sent us such sweet Birthday cards. As you can see we proudly displayed them on our new piano.

I baked these cinnamon rolls a couple of weeks ago. They take around 3-4 hours to prepare. I hadn't baked anything from scratch in quite sometime so I was pretty proud of myself when they turned out so well. (I thought Natter would be proud too.:)

Happy Birthday To Us!

The Gorillas were our favorite! Aren't they great?!

My Birthday was on May 13th (Mother's Day). We decided to celebrate on Saturday. Paul suprised me by taking me to the Zoo in Santa Barbara. I have wanted to go to the Zoo with him ever since we started dating, but we never got around to it. I was really excited when he told me what we were doing. After the Zoo we walked around old town Santa Barbara, had sushi for lunch and Cold Stone for dessert. Yum!:)

Paul's Birthday was on April 27th. I think I did a really good job of suprising him with his new bike. He looked just like a little boy on Christmas morning. We went to the Ronald Reagan Presidential library to celebrate. I have to say that he really enjoyed it and made sure to stop and watch every video at every display. One of the highlights of this presidential library is the Airforce One jet that was just retired in 2001.

This one's for you Mom!

My mom made these cute coordinating aprons for me and Paul for Christmas. We wore them today while making dinner. We had a delicious Pork roast. Aren't you proud Mom?! (p.s. My hair is turning brown! I hope the California summer sun can change that!)

Picnic In The Park

As noted in the picture above, Paul and his laptop have been almost inseperable as he has been studying for the CPA. I sure hope he passed the last part of the exam! We'll let you know as soon as we hear next month.

Sweet Greeting. . .

I spent Spring Break in UT and had a great time! But, Paul and I really missed each other. I couldn't wait to see him when I arrived at the airport. What a plesant suprise it was when he arrived with a bouquet of a dozen beautiful roses in my favorite colors!

The $10 Paul Mitchell Cut

I got my hair cut last weekend at the new Paul Mitchell School in Sherman Oaks. It was a lot of fun and rather nerve racking. The students there were only three months through their twelve month program. Luckly one of the instructors was available to come and "fix" my hair before I left. Yikes!:)

WICKED!

Paul and I had so much fun going to Wicked at pantages in Hollywood. We seriously loved the show and can't wait to get the soundtrack! We recommend it to all Broadway fans. (This was our originally planned Valentines day event. Luckily we were thinking ahead when we purchased tickets to the Saturday show just in case Paul had to travel.)

This is kind of silly, but one of my favorite things about Hollywood is reading all of the names of the stars as we walk down the sidewalks. (It's funny because Hollywood looks so glamorous on TV, but it's really pretty ghetto.) Anyway, I still have always wanted to get a picture with one of these stars. So here it is, the only name on the street that we recognized:)

Ah, The La Jolla beach. . .

Valentines Day Mania!

It just so happened that Paul and I ended up in San Diego for Valentines day. He ended up having to travel down for two days to work on a different client, so we decided I would go with and we could make a little Valentines get away out of it. Valentines day morning Paul took me to this cute cafe for breakfast.(above)
I was really impressed by this one. During his lunch break Paul found the Sushi restaurant that I took him to on his birthday when we first went to San Diego in April of 2005 (when we were just dating) He drove me to the restaurant Valentines night and I recognized it as soon as I saw it. I never thought we would be able to find it again. He picked up all of my favorite Sushi rolls and drove to the beach where we ate dinner and watched the waves roll in. It was a really fun suprise.

"I Voted!"

Paul and I both voted for the first time in November. It was a pretty exciting. I feel like such an adult.

Horseback riding and BJ's

After a long night of horseback riding we treated ourselves with Pazookie's at BJ's. This has become one of our most favorite restaurants here in Thousand Oaks. The Pazookie is a fresh baked Chocolate chip cookie with A Scoop if ice cream on top and it is YUUUMMMMMYYYY! Oh, and as you can see, we also enjoy their water.

Halloween Fun!

Our Camera was out of commission for a while so some of these pictures are from a few months back. These paper bag works of art were created for a school project my friend Erin and I were assigned on Halloween. (Mine is the purple one with googly eyes.) One of my classmates thought is was so cool that he asked me if I would give it to him to wear to his Halloween party that night! I obliged and I'm pretty sure he won first place in the costume contest.:)

Gobble! Gobble!

This year we spent Thanksgiving with the P's family. I was so excited to go home for a few short days and share the Thanksgiving holiday with our families! It was a fun filled weekend. We took Christmas card pictures, went through the temple with Mark (Who is going to Guatemala on his mission), saw the Work and the Glory III, went to Deseret Book and Seagull Book and Tape (I really miss LDS bookstores), and we watched the Cougars kick some Ute booty! We returned home at 3am on Sunday morning so that we wouldn't have to deal with the Las Vegas traffic on Sunday night.
Thanks everyone for a great Thanksgiving!
